Introduction
 
EUCC-Portugal has initiated its activity in the course of the year 2000, and counts now with members of several governmental and non-governmental organizations involved with coastal management. The activities promoted aimed to involve experts, practitioners and researchers in the discussion of the related themes to the Integrated Coastal Management.
 
Recent activities of EUCC-Portugal
 

EUCC-Portugal organizes, in cooperation with national and international partners, the third edition of the International Conference on Coastal Conservation and Management (ICCCM) series in Estoril - Portugal, between 11th -17th April 2010 - http://icccm.dcea.fct.unl.pt/

This multi-disciplinary event will join professionals and coastal managers to discuss issues linked to the integrated coastal zone management, the sea, the sustainability of coastal destinations, coastal  erosion among others. Implementation strategies, management case studies and good practices will be presented. Selected papers presented at ICCCM’10 will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Coastal Conservation edited by Springer on Planning and Management.

Late September 2009, members of EUCC Portugal have successfully organized a workshop and discussion forum about environmental certification and the QualityCoast  Programme, at the occasion of the V Congress on Planning and Management of the Coastal Areas of the Countries of Portuguese Expression late September in Santa Catarina, Brazil.
